The MFSA is the single financial supervisor of Malta and the competent authority for MiCA in Malta under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Act, 2024 (Cap. 647). It supervises CASPs and issuers of ARTs and EMTs and runs the transition from the Maltese VFA framework to MiCA.
